El Gobierno autorizó una nueva aerolínea y Sturzenegger aseguró que será un “hub jujeño”
Argentina's government has authorized a new airline, JOY Airlines, to begin operations. The government said the carrier would be based in the north of the country and create a hub in Jujuy. Routes from Jujuy to Buenos Aires and Córdoba are planned. The airline will operate 12 frequencies each week between Jujuy and Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires. Sturzenegger described the arrangement as a "hub jujeño," meaning a hub centered on Jujuy. The airline's northern base and regular flights give the province a larger role in domestic air travel. Authorization clears the company to enter the market, while the route schedule will determine how quickly the promised hub takes shape.
