GWL to introduce water rationing in Kpone-Katamanso, Tema, Ashaiman within 2 weeks amid supply challenges
Ghana Water Limited plans to introduce water rationing in parts of Kpone-Katamanso, Tema and Ashaiman. The programme is expected to begin within two weeks in response to ongoing supply challenges. Residents in the affected areas should receive water on designated days rather than through the usual unrestricted supply. GWL cited difficulties maintaining adequate water delivery as the reason for the change. The announcement does not yet provide the complete timetable for each community. It also does not specify whether the schedule or frequency of deliveries will vary between neighborhoods. Residents will need to plan household and commercial water use around the published rationing days.
