The northwestern Hungarian town of Tata will host its traditional autumn fishing festival this weekend. The celebration is built around seine fishing at Old Lake, also known as Öreg-tó. Local food specialties, cultural events and live music are included in the program. The traditional fishing gathering has attracted visitors from across Hungary and from other countries. Its main event is scheduled for Saturday morning near Kastély Square, where fishermen will demonstrate the traditional seine-fishing method. The weekend program combines a practical fishing demonstration with cultural programming and music around the lake.
