Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dačić attended the opening of a street named for General Predrag Marić in Vranje. Dačić said the name of the first chief of the Emergency Situations Sector must remain part of the Interior Ministry's history. He presented Marić's legacy as part of the institutional values on which the service is built. Marić was the first person to lead the sector responsible for emergency situations. The ceremony placed the former official's memory alongside recognition of the ministry's continuing work. Dačić attended in his capacity as interior minister in a technical government mandate. His remarks linked the naming of the street with preserving historical memory and public remembrance.
Potpredsednik Vlade i ministar unutrašnjih poslova u tehničkom mandatu Ivica Dačić prisustvovao je danas otvaranju Ulice generala Predraga Marića u Vranju i poručio da ime prvog načelnika Sektora za vanredne situacije mora da ostane deo istorije Ministarstva unutrašnjih poslova i podsetnik na vrednosti na kojima ova služba počiva.
