VG: Retten gir ukrainsk energiselskap lov til å ta arrest i fem russiske eiendommer i Oslo
VG reported that an Oslo court granted a Ukrainian energy company permission to attach five Russian-linked properties. The claimant is Naftogaz, which has filed a claim for 57 billion kroner against Russia. The order provides a way to enforce that compensation claim through assets located in Norway. The legal dispute follows Russia’s annexation of Ukrainian territory and compensation demands from affected energy businesses. By approving the attachment, the court allowed Naftogaz to secure the properties while collection continued. The decision does not mean that all 57 billion kroner has already been paid to the company. Nor does it guarantee that a future sale of the properties would cover the claim, but it gives the Ukrainian claimant leverage over holdings linked to Russia.
