The NBA's 2026-27 season is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 20. Its opening slate includes three prominent matchups. The most attention centers on LeBron James's official debut with the Philadelphia 76ers. James is set to play his first game for the team in the new season after joining Philadelphia. The other games on the opening card are also positioned as major early-season fixtures. Tipoff will mark the start of a new campaign following the previous season.
