Video footage circulated online showing Israeli tanks inside Syria. Syria's foreign minister responded on Sunday by condemning an intensification of Israeli incursions into the Kunaitra area and neighboring Daraa province. The statement said Israeli forces had pushed farther into the two areas, expanding their military presence in southern Syria. Damascus called the incursions unacceptable violations of Syrian sovereignty. The images renewed attention to Israel's continuing military activity south of the border. The clip did not specify how long the tanks remained in the country, the route they took or the purpose of their deployment.
