Abia State Governor Alex Otti has announced that the state will inaugurate 10 new courthouses. The buildings form part of a plan to construct ultra-modern court complexes in Aba and Umuahia. Otti presented the project as an expansion of judicial facilities across Abia. The larger complexes would provide modern space for court administration and hearings in the state’s two principal cities. His announcement did not give separate inauguration dates for the 10 courthouses. Work on the project is intended to increase capacity within the state’s justice system.
