Alfonso Campisi has published a new novel titled Le Vent de Sirocco. The book tells the story of Lucia Campisi, described as the first pharmacist in Tunisia. Campisi frames her life around questions of justice and freedom, as well as the experience of caring for other people. He says that this process of care ultimately helped Lucia heal herself. The author also said the story had remained in his mind for about three decades before he wrote it.
