A colorful mural has appeared on the wall of the former Dvigatel factory in Tallinn’s Ülemiste City district. The artwork covers a large section of the former production building and is being presented as Estonia’s biggest mural. Its central image is the legendary old man associated with Lake Ülemiste, a figure from one of Tallinn’s best-known local stories. Artist Silver Säblum created the wall painting. The scale of the piece makes it a prominent feature of the surrounding urban neighborhood. The project places a character from Tallinn’s folklore on a site long associated with manufacturing. Residents and visitors can now encounter that local legend in a highly visible public setting.
