Consensus forecasts indicate that Chile will have the third highest growth rate among major regional economies in 2027. The country is expected to see a GDP increase of 3% that year. It will be surpassed by Paraguay at 3.9% and Peru at 3.1%. For the current year, predictions for economic activity have been lowered. The expected expansion was adjusted from 0.8% down to 0.2%, placing growth closer to 0%.
