The hard left currently has very low parliamentary representation. Despite this, its influence remains active through the media and street protests. Because there is no political transmission path in Parliament, some of the energy generated by these mechanisms is being captured by the rising illiberal force known as Chega.
A esquerda dura nunca teve tão pouca representação parlamentar, mas alguns dos seus mecanismos de influência — a rua e os ‘media’ — continuam ativos. Ao não ter uma via de transmissão política no Parlamento, uma parte da energia gerada à esquerda por estes mecanismos é captada pela força iliberal em ascensão: o Chega.
