Bangladeshi cricketer Shamim Hossain has been signed by the Lumbini Lions for the third season of the Nepal Premier League. The franchise confirmed the contract from Kathmandu. Hossain bats left-handed and has built a name for himself with an aggressive approach at the crease. He can also bowl off-spin when the side needs to fill a gap. The all-rounder's arrival is expected to add strength to the Lions' batting order. Overseas signings have become part of how the young Nepali league tries to lift its standard. Hossain becomes one of the foreign names to watch when the third season gets under way.
