Caprile merr shtetësinë shqiptare, por grumbullimi i tij në kombëtare mbetet në dyshim
Cagliari goalkeeper Elia Caprile has received Albanian citizenship. President Bajram Begaj signed the decree granting it on October 19. In theory, the new passport makes him eligible for a call-up to Albania's red and black national team. An actual selection still needs final approval from FIFA. The story is unusual because Caprile has no Albanian roots at all. He came up through Italian football, without a family link to the country whose citizenship he now holds. Whether Albania's coaches truly plan to call him remains an open question.
