Greek gymnast Lefteris Petrounias has completed his final preparation before the rings final at the World Championships in Rotterdam. The final is set for Saturday at 18:00, and footage of his practice session has been released to show how he is shaping up. Petrounias is counting down to another major challenge, with a chance to add one more significant honor to a career already full of them. He is the most decorated Greek gymnast of his era, with Olympic gold from Rio 2016 and further Olympic medals from Tokyo and Paris. On the rings his consistency made him world and European champion time after time, and Rotterdam offers a fresh shot at another title. The practice clips show him working on details of execution, the kind of small corrections that decide medals on an apparatus where every wobble costs. His team has kept the buildup quiet and measured, in line with the way he usually approaches finals. Everything now points to Saturday evening in the Netherlands as the moment where the work gets tested.
