SAT lanza nuevo esquema para programar citas; serán para trámites de comercio exterior, auditoría y recaudación
Full story
Mexico's tax administration, the SAT, has set up a new scheme for scheduling appointments. The idea is simple: instead of walking into an office and joining a queue, people reserve a time slot first. The booking channel covers foreign trade procedures, the paperwork that importers and exporters deal with at customs. Audit matters fall under the same system. Revenue collection is included as well, so taxpayers settling or negotiating tax payments can also book ahead. For businesses that handle constant customs paperwork, a confirmed appointment can replace hours of uncertainty at the counter. SAT periodically reorganizes these services, and this scheme is the latest attempt to keep the flow of requests under control.
