Intense rains in Neuquén reactivated dry gullies and caused significant damage. The Vaca Muerta area was the most affected by the weather. A violent surge of water on Route 5 swept away vehicles and destroyed road diversions. The flood also dragged away materials and structures from a bridge currently under construction. Several families had to be evacuated from their homes. These events led to multiple road closures in the region.
