Desconocidos incendian bus RED en el sector El Cortijo de Conchalí
Unknown attackers set fire to a RED public transport bus in the El Cortijo sector of Conchalí, a commune in Santiago. The assault took place while the group was also throwing up burning barricades along the commune's streets. The vehicle, which serves daily commuters on the city's transit network, was left burning at the site. Such attacks on buses have become a recurring feature of nights marked by street disturbances in the Chilean capital. When a vehicle burns, the route it covers loses service and passengers absorb the disruption the following morning. Police typically step up patrols after incidents of this kind, though stopping a fast-moving arson attack in the middle of a barricade night is difficult. No suspects have been named so far.
