Zenit head coach Sergei Semak gave an update on two key names ahead of his side's match against Dynamo Makhachkala. Wendel, he said, might yet appear in the squad list for the game, though nothing is settled on that front. Supporters will only know for certain when the official list comes out on matchday. The picture with defender Igor Diveev is different, with the coach expecting him to join the general training group next week. That timeline keeps the defender out of the immediate plans for the Makhachkala fixture. In the meantime the club's medical staff will gauge how fast to bring him back to full fitness. Semak kept his assessment cautious, offering possibilities rather than promises.
