Martin Nečas picked up a goal and two assists in Colorado's 6:3 NHL victory over Tampa Bay. The Czech forward finished off the win with an empty-net goal in the final minutes. His three points made him a central figure in the Avalanche's success against the Lightning. The league credited him as the second star of the match. Colorado's six goals spoke to a comfortable night for the team's attack. For a Czech audience the note carries extra weight, since Nečas remains one of the country's most watched players in the league. The brief item cuts off before adding numbers from his season so far.
