Serbia has experienced large protests in the past that filled city streets. These movements did not lead to a change in government. Examples include the movements known as Serbia Against Violence and 1 of 5 Million. These events showed the scale of societal dissatisfaction. However, this discontent failed to become a strong or long-term political alternative.
Srbija je i ranije svjedočila velikim prosvjedima koji su u jednom trenutku ispunjavali ulice gradova, ali nisu doveli do promjene vlasti. Pokreti “1 od 5 miliona” i “Srbija protiv nasilja” pokazali su razmjere nezadovoljstva dijela društva, no to se nezadovoljstvo nije pretvorilo u dovoljno snažnu i dugoročnu političku alternativu
