I created a fictitious profile on the popular messaging app Snapchat to see what kind of material appears for its users. Within minutes the feed displayed advertisements for the sale of intimate photos and video clips. Each post included price lists and step‑by‑step payment instructions. The listings were offered for relatively small sums measured in local currency. The most disturbing aspect was the age of the sellers, many of whom stated they were only fifteen, sixteen or seventeen years old. A psychologist has issued a warning about the risks this content poses to minors.
To miał być zwykły test. Założyłem fikcyjne konto na popularnej platformie Snapchat, by sprawdzić, jakie treści może znaleźć jej użytkownik. Już po kilku minutach trafiłem na oferty sprzedaży intymnych zdjęć i nagrań, cenniki oraz instrukcje płatności. Niepokój budził przede wszystkim wiek osób publikujących te ogłoszenia. Niektóre z nich mówiły wprost, że mają zaledwie 15, 16, 17 lat.
