Iran's former foreign minister Salehi said the United States can neither break up Iran nor change its government. He argued that war would not lead to regime change, the collapse of Iran's national cohesion, or the achievement of US strategic goals. He warned that the material and energy damage from war would keep Europe and the world involved for years.
