Hungary is marking the anniversary of the 1956 revolution. Seventy years ago, students in Budapest took to the streets. Soviet tanks crushed the uprising in less than three weeks. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen spoke in parliament for the occasion. Viktor Orbán was not present at the event.
Pred 70 rokmi vyšli budapeštianski študenti do ulíc, revolúciu po necelých troch týždňoch rozdrvili sovietske tanky. Maďarsko si pripomína výročie revolúcie z roku 1956 s predsedníčkou Európskej komisie Ursulou von der Leyenovou v parlamente. Orbán chýbal.
