Two suspects in the fire at the town hall of Limoges have been placed under formal investigation and sent to prison. The move happened on Saturday, October 24. One of the suspects was already on the 'fiché S' list, the French security register for people considered a threat to national security. The pair are accused above all of attempted homicide. They also face a charge of criminal association, known in French as association de malfaiteurs. Formal investigation is the step in French procedure that precedes a possible trial.
