The Direction of Urban Road and Sanitation Services received sanitation equipment valued at over 2.2 billion FCFA on October 20, 2026. This equipment was provided with support from the World Bank through the Bamako Urban Resilience Project. The initiative responds to a worrying accumulation of waste within the capital city. The government provided the tools to strengthen sanitation efforts in the area.
