DPR Usul Revisi UU Kehutanan, Atur Pelaku Karhutla sebagai Terorisme Lingkungan
Daniel Johan, a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, proposed revising the 1999 Forestry Law. He suggests that individuals responsible for forest and land fires should be classified as environmental terrorists. This proposal follows a statement from President Prabowo Subianto. The president had previously described those who cause such fires as threats to the community through environmental terrorism.
Anggota Komisi IV DPR RI Daniel Johan mengusulkan revisi Undang-Undang Nomor 41 Tahun 1999 tentang Kehutanan untuk mengatur pelaku kebakaran hutan dan lahan (karhutla) sebagai pelaku terorisme lingkungan. Pernyataan tersebut disampaikan Daniel sekaligus merespons pernyataan Presiden Prabowo Subianto yang menyebut pelaku karhutla sebagai terorisme lingkungan yang mengancam masyarakat.
