A prison guard at Pinheiro da Cruz was assaulted by an inmate. The officer was working alone at the time of the incident. The attack occurred as the guard was removing the prisoner from the courtyard. He suffered a cranial injury during the struggle. Medical staff had to hospitalize the officer for treatment.
