Tourism representatives in Cusco have reported the poor condition of the road to Sacsayhuamán. They noted the presence of holes and a lack of sidewalks. This warning comes weeks before a visit from Pope Leo XIV. The group criticized the Provincial Municipality for only announcing maintenance now. They claim the deterioration of the route had been reported many times before.
A pocas semanas del encuentro con el papa León XIV, representantes del sector turístico denunciaron que la vía de acceso presenta forados y carece de veredas. Además, cuestionaron que la Municipalidad Provincial recién anuncie un mantenimiento ante el evento religioso, pese a que el deterioro fue reportado de manera reiterada.
