He linked the hardship to rising economic pressure that the country faces as a result of conflict with the United States. Recent weeks saw Washington scale back direct military actions in the region. At the same time, the United States increased financial constraints on Tehran. The president warned that the combined effect is making daily life increasingly difficult for ordinary people. He called for attention to the worsening situation.
