The National Agency for Anti-Locust Fight organized a workshop in the town of Moussoro. The event lasted two days and gathered participants involved in pest control. Its main aim was to put into practice the country's national risk-management plan for locust outbreaks. The workshop also covered communication strategies to inform the public about the locust threat. Officials emphasized the growing risk posed by the desert locust species in the region. By operationalising the plan, the agency hopes to improve preparedness and response capabilities.
