CIMB expects Bank Negara Malaysia to increase the Overnight Policy Rate by 25 basis points. The rate is projected to reach 3.00 percent in March 2027. This replaces a previous forecast that suggested the rate would stay at 2.75 percent until the third quarter of next year.
KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB menjangkakan Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) akan menaikkan Kadar Dasar Semalaman (OPR) sebanyak 25 mata asas kepada 3.00 peratus pada Mac 2027, berbanding unjuran terdahulu yang menyaksikan kadar itu kekal pada 2.75 peratus sehingga suku ketiga tahun depan.
