The Republic of Kosovo announced three candidate lists for the upcoming national minority council elections. Two of those lists are Albanian and will contend for seats on the Albanian National Council. The competing Albanian lists carry the names "Party for Democratic Action" and "Alternative for Change – Levent Qazimi". With this announcement, the overall number of submitted lists for the October 8 vote rose to fifty-two. The election will determine representation for the councils of twenty-three national minorities across Serbia. Each list aims to secure influence within its respective minority community. The expanded slate of candidates reflects a broadening of participation in the minority council process.
