The son of a former president disappeared on the night of July 16, 1999. He was piloting a small plane that crashed off the coast of Martha's Vineyard. Recovery crews almost stopped their search before finding his body. The body was located more than 100 feet deep in the ocean. There was a possibility he might never have been found.
