El derrumbe del sueño venezolano en Chile
Venezuelan migrants who arrived in Chile between 2017 and 2019 are now leaving the country. Some are migrating to other nations while others are returning to Venezuela. Migration service data shows 8,834 Venezuelans left voluntarily this year. This is a significant increase compared to the 3,460 who left in 2025. The exodus is driven by unemployment and high living costs. Growing insecurity has also contributed to the decline of Chile as a migration destination.
El peak de migración de la comunidad venezolana en el país, que ocurrió entre 2017 y 2019, ahora está prefiriendo emigrar de Chile hacia otros países, incluso volver a Venezuela. Acorde a cifras del Servicio de Migraciones, en lo que va del año, 8.834 venezolanos salieron voluntariamente del país versus los 3.460 que dejaron Chile durante 2025. Los altos costos de vida, la inseguridad y el creciente desempleo hicieron que el oasis chileno para la migración se derrumbara.
