Ernesto Ottone: “El Presidente debe transmitir seguridad, protección y esperanza. Y eso no ocurre con Kast”
Sociologist Ernesto Ottone has re-released his memoirs about his time working at La Moneda. As a former chief advisor to Ricardo Lagos, he uses his experience to question the leadership of the current president. Ottone criticizes the lack of order within the government and warns about the influence of presidential advisors. He believes a president should provide security, protection, and hope, which he feels is missing with Kast. He also defends the legacy of the Concertación. The author notes that the left has lost its way and has not yet seen a renewed democratic left.
