Protests organized via social media under the slogan "Against the System" caused chaos in central Barcelona on Saturday afternoon. Fourteen businesses were looted and damaged during the unrest. Rioters also caused significant damage to trash bins and bus stops. Some shops were forced to close their doors due to the situation. Over 100 people were arrested.
