The Dakar Rally will leave Saudi Arabia for the 2027 edition. Organizers confirmed the move follows attacks by Houthi rebels from Yemen. The competition is scheduled to take place from January 1 to 15. An official destination for the race has not yet been confirmed. The event will return to Saudi Arabia in 2028. That upcoming edition will mark the 50th anniversary of the race.
