Ten years ago the miniseries “Pustina” introduced a dark, mysterious setting centered on a remote community. Its portrayal of the environment, relationships and characters earned it a Czech Lion award. A new six‑part series called “Hec” is now being produced for Czech Television. The project follows the same stylistic approach as the earlier miniseries. Both the screenplay and the direction are handled by Michal Samir. “Hec” aims to recreate the atmospheric tone that made “Pustina” notable.
