With 99.99% of the votes counted, about 128.2 million Brazilians went to the polls in the presidential runoff. Roughly 30.5 million eligible voters did not cast a ballot. The election resulted in the re‑election of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The number of abstentions was the lowest recorded since 2006.
