Loi référendaire en RDC : Salomon Kalonda appelle le Sénat à rejeter le texte
Senator Salomon Kalonda Della is urging his colleagues in the Democratic Republic of Congo to reject a proposed law regarding referendum organization. The text was recently adopted by the National Assembly and is now awaiting a second reading in the Senate. Kalonda believes the legislation threatens the 2006 Constitution. He expressed concern that the move could allow President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi to seek a third term in office.

Alors que le texte, adopté de nouveau vendredi 23 octobre à l’Assemblée nationale, doit être soumis à une seconde lecture au Sénat, il estime que cette initiative menace la Constitution de 2006 et redoute qu’elle ouvre la voie à un troisième mandat présidentiel pour Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi.
