The Estonian Conservative People's Party (EKRE) faction has proposed changing how the election deposit for Riigikogu elections is set. Under the proposal, the deposit would no longer be tied to the minimum monthly wage and would instead be linked to the subsistence minimum. EKRE wants to lower the deposit from 946 euros to 220 euros.
