Users spent over 650 million on medications between January and August. The National Health Service recorded the highest expenditure increase for semaglutide. This active substance is used in antidiabetic drugs and for weight loss. Spending on this specific medication rose by 54.5% during the first eight months of the year.
O semaglutido, a substância ativa de medicamentos antidiabéticos também utilizados para a perda de peso, foi o que registou o maior aumento de despesa (+54,5%) nos primeiros oito meses deste ano considerando os gastos feitos pelo Serviço Nacional de Saúde.
