The Ghana Climate Literacy Portal (GCLP) is seeking to equip more young Africans with the knowledge and resources needed to respond to climate change, as youth advocates gather in Accra to discuss practical solutions to the continent’s environmental challenges. The digital learning platform is drawing attention at the Regional Conference of Youth Africa (RCOY Africa), where young climate advocates are exploring ways to strengthen youth participation in climate policy and develop recommendations for decision-makers. Saustine Lusanzu, a Tanzanian climate advocate and founder of the Earth Care Foundation, said access to reliable climate learning materials could help young people move beyond awareness and take practical action in their communities. Speaking at the conference, he described the portal as an opportunity for African youth to build the knowledge needed to lead environmental change.
