Negotiations have postponed the implementation of new entry regulations for Uzbek citizens traveling to Egypt. The revised deadline is set for March 1, 2027, giving authorities additional time to finalize the rules. Until that date, tourists from Uzbekistan may continue to visit the resort city of Sharm El Sheikh and the Sinai Peninsula without obtaining a visa. The existing travel procedures remain in effect for the mentioned destinations. The postponement was agreed upon during discussions aimed at easing travel restrictions. Uzbek authorities welcomed the extension, noting it allows citizens to maintain current tourism patterns. Egyptian officials indicated that the new measures will be strictly enforced after the March deadline.
