The government will submit a presidential message to Congress today regarding the reduction of sentences. Justice Minister Fernando Rabat stated that the goal is to start immediate discussion of the legislative process. He hopes this can happen by Thursday. If that is not possible, the process should occur by the beginning of next week.
"Todo eso tiene que quedar hoy día presentado a objeto de tener con la discusión inmediata el trámite legislativo acotado, ojalá este día jueves, y si no, a más tardar a principios de la próxima semana”, detalló el ministro de Justicia, Fernando Rabat.
