Portugal now reports a total of 171 places available in temporary centres for foreign nationals. The increase follows the opening of a new modular wing at the Temporary Installation Centre in the Santo António housing unit in Porto. The new wing adds eighty beds to the facility. The expansion aims to improve capacity for accommodating non‑citizens.
