International observers presented a preliminary statement in Belgrade on October 26. They noted high voter turnout and strong competition during the elections in Serbia. However, the mission found evidence of deep polarization and pressure on voters. Reports of violence were documented. The observers also observed significant media bias in favor of the Serbia United list. They concluded that there were unequal opportunities and misuse of public resources.
