Brussels expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the rule of law in Serbia. European Union officials are concerned about the lack of media freedom. There are also issues regarding how well Serbia aligns with the common foreign and security policy of the EU. Because of these factors, the EU is seeking improvements from the new authorities.
