A temporary bridge could be set up on the sea side of the cable-stayed bridge in Riga while the existing span is being repaired, Riga City Council chairman Viesturs Kleinbergs said in an interview with TV3 on Tuesday, October 27. The proposal comes from the head of the city council, who represents the Progressive party. According to Kleinbergs, no decision has been made yet and the question of where the temporary crossing will stand remains open.
